Honduras Program

Short-Term Study Abroad Program

Bring hope and empowerment by volunteering in mountain villages in Honduras.

Honduras 2

Volunteer in a community development program bringing hope, healing, and empowerment to the people of mountain villages around the community of San Matias, Honduras.  Deliver and install clean water filtration systems to families, pour concrete floors in homes, teach in a local school, or assist with medical/dental clinics.  Aside from having some of the region's most extensive tropical rainforests, stunning landscapes, and abundant wildlife, Honduras boasts a rich history and culture influenced by the Mayan civilization, Spanish colonization, and Afro-Caribbean traditions.  See it all for yourself on this six-day adventure!

Make a Difference

Volunteer initiatives are intended to solve real-world problems, identified by our host community partners. All projects are designed to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

3. Education and Training: Teaching at local schools directly connects to the field of education, where participants can engage with curriculum development, teaching methods, and the importance of education in promoting sustainable development.
